 Students have homework EVERY night. If you did not receive a written assignment, you should study your notes, review classwork or otherwise prepare yourself for the next day. Remember to charge your laptop EVERY night!

 Written assignments follow. These pages may not be updated daily. Therefore any work assigned in class is still the responsibility of the student even if it is not listed on the website.

Wed 2/24:

  • review material covered since semester started
  • finish classwork from today:
    • p. 315 (48-54, 48-62, 65, 67, 68) - choose 2 only for #58 and #59
    • p. 348 (56, 59, 60, 67)- choose 2 only for #67
    • p. 380 (49, 51, 52)

         

Mon 2/22:

  • Hwk: p. 407 (27-31 odd, 37-45 odd, 49, 51, 61)
  • study for quiz tomorrow!

Fri 2/19:

  • draw a phase diagram in your thinking maps (can copy p 403) use color!
  • vocabulary for Ch. 13

Thur 2/18:

Wed 2/17:

  • Read Ch. 13 - mostly a review from earlier in the year
  • Make a triple Venn diagram on thinking map sheet for Gas, Liquid, Solid. Do this in PENCIL!
  • Completely answer at least three questions (in first section) from your Ch. 13 study guide.
  • Ch. 13 test next Wednesday
  • Formal lab write-ups due tomorrow at the start of class!

 Mon 2/15:

  • continue working on practice packet from last week
  • complete worksheet from today's class.
  • prepare for study buddy quiz on Tuesday

Fri 2/12:

  • work on new worksheet (stoichiometric problems)
  • finish lab report (class time on Friday was devoted to completing these)

Thurs 2/11:

  • Work on lab report from today. Continue practice sheet problems.  
  • Lab sheet (courtesy of someone with greater genius than I) 

Tuesday 2/9:

  • P. 366 21-24, practice sheet AT LEAST DO 1, 7, 8, 9
  • portfolios are due tomorrow!

 

Mon 2/8:

  • finish up portfolio work
  • go back to chapters 10 and 11 if you are still not comfortable with the material. You will need it for this chapter!

Fri, 2/5:

  • study for test tomorrow!
  • lab write-up from today is due on Monday.  Lab Info sheet

Tues 2/2: Students were given a packet full of equations to balance. They are not expected to be able to do all of them; some are quite challenging. But they have been asked to try to do as many as possible. Tomorrow teams with the most correct answers will earn bonus points on their quiz.

Quiz on Wednesday, test on Thursday.

  • lab write-up
  • raw egg percent compostion lab.doc  for those who miss class on Friday.
    • must write full procedure of what you would do to determine percentage, even if you do not have the means to do so.
