Science Fair 2012-2013

Please  follow the county guidelines for setting up student projects for our

school fair so that when it comes time to send to county there will be less work involved.

http://www.nhcs.net/science/new_hanover_county_science_fair.htm

Our School Science Fair will be January 7th and 8th. Judging will be the 7th with

classes walking through on the 8th.

We are allowed to send 7 projects to the county fair.

Teams can consist of no more than 3 students.

Any project using humans or animals must have a doctor or vet sign off prior to

conducting the experiment. We were told this includes surveys.

Any project that is conducted with any assistance from a college or university must have

a form filled out prior to conducting the research/experiment.

PLEASE GO TO NHCS WEBSITE AND SEARCH " SCIENCE FAIR FORMS 2013" TO EXPLORE YOUR MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS.

All county forms must be returned to Kimberly Bierstedt, Lead Science Teacher, NHCS  by 1/10/13.

County Science Fair is 1/24/13 at Murray. Student must have their own transportation

and be set up by 4:15. We will 2 people from our school to work at the science fair.

Any science projects using company logos must have written permission from that

company to use their logo.

Photos must be cited and can not include other people (only the project’s owner).

Projects should be approved by the student’s science teacher prior to entering in the

science fair.
