About The Teacher
Hi, my name is Suzanne M. Sload. I'm excited to start my 9th year at Parsley and more excited to say that I will be teaching in my art room again. Here is a bit about me. After receiving a B.S. in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), My husband and I moved to Wilmington, NC. For 15 years, I have been teaching in the New Hanover County School system. Prior to Parsley, I taught at J.C. Roe and Alderman. I did take off two separate years to be home after the birth of my children. Sophia, who is 7 and Curren, is 4. Sophia will start second grade at Parsley. How time flies. It seems like only yesterday she was starting kindergarten.
Some of my personal favorite media in art are painting and clay. Now you can probably figure out why your child brings home several clay projects throughout the year. (they love it, too) I am happy doing what I love, teaching students the technique and beauty of art.
