Our first grade science curriculumĀ  is broken down into four main units of study.

The four science kits we will have this year are:

Pebbles and Sand- Students will make observations and build an understanding of solid earth materials.

Balance and Motion-Students will make observations and conduct investigations to build an understanding of balance, motion, and weighing of objects.

Solids and Liquids-Students will learn about physical science by making observations and conducting investigations to build an understanding of the properties and relationship of objects.

Living Organisms- Students will learn life science while conducting investigations and making observations to build an understanding of the needs of living organisms.
