The state released our proficiency results. Parsley increased our proficiency from 94% to 95.3% for the 09-10 school year! I am very proud of all of you for this accomplishment! :) Parsley has the highest proficiency for elementary schools in New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties, and are ranked 18th in the state for regular elementary schools. Congratulations! Job well done! :)
For the second consecutive year, Parsley students have achieved high growth under the NC ABC Model in all tested grade levels and all subjects!

Schools must apply for these funds annually. Please take a moment to complete and return your E-Rate Survey to your child’s teacher no later than Sept. 8th. This coverage offering is optional. New Hanover County Schools has NO relationship with any voluntary student accident insurance company. NHCS do not provide, underwrite – or in any way – get involved with this optional insurance coverage; other than providing parents access to the applications should they choose to apply for it. Likewise, NHCS is not involved in filing the claims, that is the parent’s responsibility.”
The New Hanover County Schools' Family Life Education Department will offer a parent education seminar on Thursday Sept. 2, 2010 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Gregory School, located at 1106 Ann Street. Parents are encouraged to attend the informative meeting to gain insight into the Family Life curriculum.
