Students in my 3rd-5th grade math classes are participating in the Continental Math League competition throughout the year.  Third graders will compete internationally in three meets, and fourth and fifth graders will compete internationally in five meets.  It is a very challenging competition in which students must solve very difficult math reasoning problems, using many different problem-solving strategies.

Results for our first meet which was held in November are as follows:

In fifth grade, we had 5 perfect scores.  The students who achieved this success were:  Claudia, Ben, Isaiah, Tara, and Sam.  That is fantastic!

In fourth grade, our highest scores were attained by Erik and Natalie. That is also wonderful!

For our second meet which was held in December, the results are as follows:

In fifth grade, we had 2 perfect scores, and those students who scored a six out of six were:  Claudia and Ben.  Great job to you both!

In fourth grade, we had one perfect score, and the student who scored six out of six was Jessica!  Way to go, Jessica!

For our third meet which was held in January, the results are as follows:

In fifth grade, we had 5 perfect scores.  The students who achieved this were:  Hannah M., Giovanni B., Ben O., Matthew C., and Tara P.

In fourth grade, we had one perfect score and that was accomplished by Natalie G.

Great job on CML meet #3!

For our fourth meet which was held in February, the following are the results:

In fifth grade, two students had perfect scores.  They were Giovanni B. and Tara P.  Great job!

In fourth grade, we had two students with perfect scores, and they were Kellen H. and Natalie G.  Super job!

Third graders started the competition in January, and Katy L. took the top score.

All of the students have done a wonderful job!
