PARSLEY > Ms. Warnes > About the Teacher

Thank you for visiting the website!

I moved to Wilmington in July of 2004.  I came from Minnesota.  (You may
notice my "accent"...) I love living in Wilmington. The people and the
weather are terrific!

This is my fourth year of teaching third grade at Parsley. I taught third
grade at College Park Elementary for two years before coming to Parsley. I
taught fourth and fifth grade in Minnesota.

I earned my BA degree through Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and
my Masters
of Divinity degree through Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.  I
earned my teaching licensure and Masters in Education degree through the
University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I have two daughters.  One of my daughters is a junior at Augsburg College
in Minneapolis, the other is a cardiac care nurse in Omaha, Nebraska.
When not teaching, I like to read, be outdoors, and spend time with my
family.

My favorite part of teaching is seeing students grow in knowledge,
confidence, and desire to learn!                                                                                                    DLW
