I think I can, I think I can!

Writing

   Yearly Writing Objectives: 

· Begins writing on the left side of the paper

· Sentences begin with capital letters

· Uses capitals for writing names 

· Leaves spaces between words

· Uses correct punctuation (. ? !)

· Uses invented spelling (For example: I can rid a bik.)

· Begins to listen and write the beginning, middle,and ending sounds in 
simple cvc words (For example: cat, bib, cup, hen, hot)

· Writes more than one sentence

· Use adjectives "sparkle words" when writing (For example: I see the orange 
rug. My big cat can run.)
  Draw a picture

· Sentences must match the picture

· Kindergarten core words must be spelled correctly

· Recognizes that the print conveys a message (students should be able to 
read what they wrote)
