New and announcements

Updated 5/1/2013

Good afternoon everyone -
Last week we wrapped up the 6th grade curriculum. We have just about three weeks to prepare for the EOG. To do that, we will focus on a few strands each week to practice in class. All of the work will be cooperative station work. Nothing will go home (because there is no guarantee I will get it back!).

Each week students will have a variety of review activities to choose from. They will turn in their packet at the end of the week and I will assign a grade based on their work in class and the quality of their math. All students have a list of the activities they are working on and a rubric that spells out how they will be graded. At the end of each week we will have a test to monitor improvement.

Official progress reports go home next Wednesday, but I also gave each student a copy today. Every student should know their grade. The last day to re-take the geometry test and the simple ratios quiz is this Friday, 5/3.

A re-take for the ratio test will be available on Monday, 5/6, through Friday, 5/16.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions,
James
