Hello and welcome to the Holly Shelter Middle School Media Center! The library is an essential source of academic success. Please encourage your student to read, read, and read! The more we read, the more we know!

I am from a small town in North Carolina called Pine Level. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from East Carolina University in 1993. After teaching middle & high school English, I returned to ECU and graduated with a Masters degree in Library Science.  In 2011, I became a National Board Certified Teacher! :)

 I love my job and working with students.

Beyond work, I enjoy spending time with my ten year old son, our chocolate labs (Mocha & Kody), and cat ( O’Malley). I also love relaxing while reading at the beach, roller coasters, playing golf, and Duke Basketball!!
