Holly Shelter Middle School - Home of the Hurricanes!

Welcome!  I am the 6th grade Intensive Academic Support Teacher at Holly Shelter Middle School.  I graduated from East Carolina University with a BS degree in Teaching Learning Disabled Students to ages K -12.  I also received a concentration in mathematics while at ECU.  I have been teaching in the classroom for 18 years, mostly in Wilmington, North Carolina.  However, for 3 years, I was a school teacher in Columbia, South Carolina.   As your child's teacher, I am excited about the opportunities that I have planned for your child to grow as a confident student in all of the core subjects this 2012-2013 school year.  I will be teaching your child Language Arts and Math but will also assist your child in Social Studies and Science.   Please check your child's planner everynight and if, at any time, you need to contact me, please email me at christina.loughlin@nhcs.net or call me at 910-602-4046 x 137.  It is going to be a GREAT year at Holly Shelter Middle School!  If you would like to see what we are doing each day, feel free to view my planbook at: www.planbook.com
