Welcome to Honors Chemitry and AP Chemistry at John T. Hoggard. My goal is to provide an interesting, challenging class that will make you think, inspire you to like science, and teach you the basics of chemistry. In Honors Chemistry we will be working toward deveoping a solid foundation to prepare you for AP Chemistry and other advanced sciences, and in AP Chemistry we will be working toward preparing you for college work in chemistry. Students who achieve a 4 or 5 on the AP Exam in May, 2010 may be eligible for college credit for first year college chemistry. You should check the website of colleges that interest you to find out their policy on giving AP credit. Please be aware that this site will be under development for the next few weeks. I will add information as I have time. Feel free to email me by clicking on contact me and I will try to answer as quickly as possible. Check the links for more information on the North Carolina State curriculum for first year chemistry and the College Board website for AP Chemistry.
