I received my Bachelors of Science from the University of Massachusetts.  I
then went to work as a pre-school teacher in Connecticut (my home state). 
After two years as a pre-school teacher I enrolled at the University of
North Carolina where I received my teaching certificate in Elementary
Educations as well as my Masters in Education
in Language and Literacy.  I am currenly working on my National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading-Language Arts.
