Welcome, and thank you for stopping by!  I would like to share some information with you about the (CTE) Career & Technical Education Business computer classes at Williston.    Business is a semester long course.  The use of computers has become a part of the everyday life of all people; therefore, keyboarding, business computer technology and business career awareness is very beneficial.  The overall goal of this curriculum is students will become independent users of technology for school, personal needs and the job market.  With all of us working together, administrators, parents, students and teachers, each student at Williston Middle will become proficient computer users.  I look forward to working with you throughout this semester.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

 

6th grade Exploring Business-6168CAF Technologies is designed to explore the role of business in the workplace and students career goals.  Simulations and problem-solving activities are used to provide students with the ability and skills needed to become productive citizens in the 21st century.

 

7th Exploring Business, Marking and Entrepreneurship-6207CB keyboarding instructions on the computer keyboard.   Students will develop basic skills in touch-typing and learn proper use and care of equipment and materials.  General computer literacy will be covered as well as organization and following oral and written directions.  

 

8th Exploring Business, Marking and Entrepreneurship-6207CC Technology is designed to provide hands-on instruction in computer hardware and software applications.  Students will become knowledgeable in using word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation software. 

 

The majority of class work will be done in class.  Occasional homework or projects may be assigned.  Please be reminded, we are fortunate to have a beautiful computer lab environment with fairly new computers and that there should be no playing with any hardware in the classroom.  With that being said, let’s get ready for a Wonderful semester!!
