PBIS at Williston

Positive Behavior Intervention or PBIS is a program that focuses on rewarding the students who make the right choices throughout the day.  Students will be exposed to the expectations we are looking for in their homeroom class during the first six weeks of school.  PBIS teaches and reinforces the same behavior expectations throughout the school day.  The four expectations at Williston are Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be Kind.

The entire faculty and staff are dedicated to creating a positive school environment using the PBIS model.  When students demonstrate a school expectation that has been taught, they can be rewarded with a tiger card which they trade in for a small treat at the end of the day.  Teachers also have the responsibility of electing a student of the week each week.  These students are automatically invited to a Tiger Party which will be held at the end of the current 9 weeks.  We are all very excited at the opportunities our students at Williston have to show off their positive attitudes and create a respectful, responsible, safe and kind learning environment for everyone in the building.
