Dear Snipes Family,

My journey as an educator began in 1995 when I taught special education at D. C. Virgo Middle School.  I later became the director of Pathways to Success at Lakeside, a long-term suspension program for middle and high school students.  I returned to D.C. Virgo to teach and to pursue my master's degree in administration at UNCW.    Two years into my master's program, I accepted the assistant principal position at D.C. Virgo.  In 2009, I accepted my greatest role as principal of Snipes Academy.  This role has encouraged me to push further asI work towards my doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.

I welcome the opportunity to partner with you as we strive to achieve greatness in our students.   It is my passion and desire to lead our students towards academic excellence and to build a positive character as they develop into productive citizens.  I invite you to become actively involved in our Snipes community. With your support, we have the ability to build a better tomorrow!

                                                                                                Cordially,

                                                                                               Laura Jennings, Principal
