MR. MEEK’S CLASS PHILOSOPHY

It is my firm belief, supported by exhaustive research, that students will meet expectations if they are held accountable. Students in my classes are accountable for their own educations. I am here to assist them in learning valuable skills that are critical to their success in high school, college and life. We use the standard course of study as a tool to learn these skills.

The experience your child will have in my classroom will be unlike any other they have ever had. I will challenge their intellectual capacity to the fullest. I accept no less than their very best effort. It's ok to make mistakes as long as they are honest mistakes and not made from lack of effort or caring.

As we look at the world, we see it is evolving to a point where third world nations are putting themselves in position to rival the United States for economic superiority. We must prepare our students to meet this threat by producing the innovators that made our nation great.

We've done it before, and we can do it again. This is not a time for apathy or posturing. We control our destiny. The question is: Do we have the courage to meet the challenge?

Please work with your child to help them keep up with their studies.
