                                           Students and Parents

Please be aware of all the policies of the New Hanover County School Board
concerning technology use at school.  Any student accessing any site or
gathering any information that is inappropriate for school can and will lose
computer rights.  Computer use at school is a privilege not a right!

Students should only go to teacher approved and teacher assigned sites!
Random searches are not allowed on any search engine.  Specific instructions
from the teacher are necessary for any student to use any search engine in
class.

Students can also lose their rights by going to an approved site that has
not been assigned as part of the class work or school work for the day.  For
instance, AAA Math is an approved site but has not been approved for use in
my keyboarding class.  So a student who should be doing keyboarding and is
instead playing math games in AAA Math can lose computer rights by not
following instructions in class.
