7th Grade Class Page - Keyboarding

The 7th grade Keyboarding students are working on three separate year long projects.

The first project for students is a class folder with a printed workbook. The workbook is from the NCSCOS curriculum. The workbook consists of activities in Word Processing and Desktop Publishing which students must complete in the workbook.  All students will have an end of grade test on this information.  Scores are submitted to the county and the CTE Department at NCDPI.

The second project is an online keyboarding and class book program called Glencoe Keyboarding. This program emphasizes correct keying, speed and accuracy. Students can print out a record of their GWAM(Gross Words A Minute), errors and time used to complete each keyed activity.

The third project is a digital portfolio created in Microsoft PowerPoint. The portfolio contains activities that they they have been assigned from the NCSCOS Workbook. When they finish their activity in the workbook they prepare it and import it into their digital portfolio for viewing.
