                                                                             Do One Brave Thing Today!

Hi, Falcon Band Parents and students!  We are very close to our

Holiday performance date, and I would like to take this

time to remind you how important daily practice

time is.  And not only to individual band students- but to

the entire band team.  Especially this year.  We are struggling

with our short class time, and need every student to practice

a minimum of 30 minutes each night.  Parents, please ask

your student to play for you regularly and be involved in

their preparation time.  And whenever possible, please bring

them to "Morning Band".  This is a 30-minute early morning

supervised practice time.  It is open to all students, and

runs from 7:20 to 8:00 AM each day.  Students can be dropped

off at the front circle near Minnie Evans, and come into the

band room for practice or help.  I frequently have high

school band students in here as well, and everyone helps

each other or practices on their own.  It's a great way to

get that magical 30 minute time every day!

I have had the most wonderful year with your students

so far.  I dearly love them, and am honored to be their

band director.  I am grateful for all your support, and wish

for everyone a bountiful Thanksgiving!
