----------------------------------------------------

Aug. 24:  Smile in your school picture even though your mom just made you mad.  Your pcture will be around much longer than your anger and will be in your school yearbook forever.

Aug. 25:  Try to learn the names of the other people in your class, your neighborhood, and your school.  It helps make people feel important.

Aug. 26:  If you get to be a captain to pick teams at recess, try to include everyone so their feelings aren't hurt.  Winning a game at recess is not more important than other people's feelings.

Aug. 27:  Students have used cell phones to cheat in school, and that is one reason why most schools don't allowyou to have your cell phone with you.  If you decide to keep your cell phone, don't be surprised if it is taken away if you get it out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Aug. 30:  If the tags on your clothes bother you, ask your parents if they will help you cut out the tags.

Aug. 31:  Your teacher will tell you what she wants to be called.  Use that name to address the teacher, not some other name the other kids may use on the playground.

Sept. 1:  You probably don't want others to make fun of you for having food on your face, so don't make fun of others when they do.  Instead, tell them if they don't know.

Sept. 2:  If there is a jacket or program lying on a seat at a concert or movie, it usually means the seat is being reserved for somebody, so you should find another place to sit.

Sept. 3:  Work with your parents and your teacher to come up with a sign you can use to indicate thatyou need a break before you start haing a meltdown.
